Way of preparation ….

There are many colleges and universities all over the world. All the higher secondary students aim to join in top colleges. Usually in cities not all but most of the school will have CBSE or ICSE syllabus, at least up to 10^th std. in those schools they won’t mind about the HSC results rather they will prepare so hard for the entrance exams, mainly for the great Joint Entrance Exam.

But the schools in towns and cities like Rasipuram and Namakkal are not just schools, they are centum making factories. But the government is taking measures to reduce centum in those regions by making some twist in the main subjects. The sad news is, it is not only a twist for the guys who take centum but also to the guys who hardly get pass marks in those subjects.  These like school aim for the cutoff marks, they’ll ignore the languages.

The shocking NEET ….

The NEET exam is not a new thing that emerged suddenly. Actually it was happening all over India except few states, and our Tamil Nadu is one of the few states. NEET is a very good thing so that the number of fakes doctors can be reduced. But the exam will be so hard. The first year when it was implemented many students cried and they yelled that they would get 200/200 medical cutoff, but it will be so hard to pass the NEET. And our state government is finding all the ways to escape from it. But their effort will just fail. So now in many schools they started couching for it from the lower classes itself. And it help the management of the schools to get extra fees (legally, and not as donation).

JEE …

Joint entrance exam is the only way to enter the IIT (for IIT they have to pass both main and advance exam). However if they pass, they can get admission in national institute of technology. As like all the students I too applied for the JEE main. And I pay rs 1000 through online. I definitely know that I cannot pass that exam surely, yet I thought we can fail with a respectable mark. It was so tough to find my exam center, after a hard navigation I reached the center, at the gate they told to keep all the electronics outside. We were not supposed to take even a pen inside. They will provide the black pen which is specially imported from Germany. Once I opened the question paper I realized how bad my education was in all these years. It was so hard to find what they ask in the question, and if we understand the question, all the four answers will be very so similar. A correct answer carries 4 marks. A wrong one will deduct us 1 mark, there will be no problem if we leave a question. A guy in my hall slept for 2:30 hrs. And filled all the questions in the omr sheet without even opening the question paper. A happy thing is they’ll offer us water. After finishing the exam a group of guys were discussing the answers and they told how simple this question paper was. Yet it was a nice experience.

THE GREAT JEE PEN.

One of my friends have sacrificed all his joy and fun and joined a school in Chennai from class 9 to prepare for this exam, though he told the questions were tough he was confident on passing it.

And the most annoying part is even though it is a common entrance exam which is open to all; there is quota for some reserved peoples. They had very low pass percentage for those people.

After finishing the exam I asked the friends about the difficulty level, everyone told it was so tough. At that moment my guilty feeling was dissolved.

Other exams…

While comparing to JEE, all the other exam will so easier. And I am damn sure that those who are preparing for JEE won’t even apply for these silly exams. One of the great part is the exam centers will be so nice, there will be air conditioner (I think so all the center has), and another great thing is there is no negative marks for wrong answer. So you can attend all the questions irrespective of knowing the answer.

My thoughts…..

If you are about to apply for an entrance exam like me, do prefer for online exam to pen and paper. Because the online exam will take place in computer lab, and most of the computer labs will have AC.

And guys it is really tough decision, whether to prepare for board exam nice or to the entrance exam. But my opinion is, if you want to develop your knowledge, you can prepare for entrance exam. And if are to prepare for board exams you must have a very good memory power, as our education system is just memory oriented and not knowledge oriented. You may get frustrated by this system, I too felt it. But we have to accept it. Realize all our parents, senior have followed this thing and so do we. And don’t underestimate yourself by seeing all others getting top ranks around you. Not all of them, most of them don’t have any matter inside them. You are like the special ROCK called ‘GEODE’.
